Last updated in April, iPhoto ‘11 has gotten yet another maintenance update from Cupertino, where Apple’s software engineers have been busy addressing problems that caused the software to erratically display events on iOS devices after synchronization.
To get photos on and off the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad using a Mac, users can either employ the built-in Image Capture utility, or iPhoto, the photo organizing application in iLife.
The latter is usually the better choice for many users, as it stacks photos together by several criteria, including faces.
Best of all, though, iPhoto does the useful job of organizing them in ‘Events.’ The function groups pictures together by their creation and synchronization and dates, allowing users to more easily navigate through them once offloaded onto a Mac’s hard drive.
However, there have been some complaints as to how this feature worked in iPhoto 9.1.2.
Cupertino was listening and this week delivered a fix through a free release of iPhoto 9.1.3.

Applicable solely over iPhoto 11, “This update fixes a problem that could cause some events merged in iPhoto to be split back into multiple events on iOS devices after being synced,” Apple explains.
“This update is recommended for all users of iPhoto '11,” the technical note reads.
It also requires Mac OS X 10.6.6 and, according to a technical document over at Apple’s Support website, it weighs in at a hefty 106.29 MB.

The update is localized in Deutsch, English, Français, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, Dansk, Norsk Bokmål, Polski, Português, Português Brasileiro, Pусский, Suomi, Svensk, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
